These Terms & Conditions govern all bookings, services, and travel arrangements provided by Meru Himal (“we”, “us”, “our”). By making a booking or participating in any tour, trek, pilgrimage, or helicopter-assisted service, you agree to be bound by these Terms & Conditions.
1. Scope of Services
Meru Himal provides:

Char Dham Yatra packages
-
Single and Two Dham pilgrimages

Himalayan treks and nature trails
-
Cultural, temple, and circuit-based tours
-
Helicopter-assisted pilgrimage services (through third-party operators)
Meru Himal acts as a tour coordinator and facilitator. Certain services are provided by independent third-party vendors.
2. Booking & Payment Terms

A booking is confirmed only after receipt of the required advance payment.

Full payment must be completed as per the timelines communicated prior to departure.

Prices are quoted in Indian Rupees (INR) unless otherwise stated.

Any additional services requested after booking may incur extra charges.
3. Pricing & Inclusions

Package prices include only those services explicitly mentioned in the itinerary.

Any services not listed are excluded and chargeable separately.

Prices are subject to change due to fuel costs, taxes, government fees, or regulatory changes.
4. Traveller Responsibilities
Travellers are responsible for:

Providing accurate personal and travel information

Carrying valid identification documents
-
Ensuring medical fitness for high-altitude travel
-
Following safety instructions provided by guides or staff
-
Respecting local customs, religious practices, and environmental norms
Meru Himal reserves the right to deny participation to any traveller whose conduct is deemed unsafe or disruptive.
5. Health, Fitness & Medical Advisory

Himalayan travel involves altitude, terrain, and weather risks.

Travellers must disclose any pre-existing medical conditions.

Senior citizens and international travellers are advised to consult a medical professional prior to travel.

Meru Himal is not liable for health-related incidents arising from undisclosed conditions.
6. Travel Insurance
Travel insurance is strongly recommended for all travellers and must ideally cover:

Medical emergencies

Trip cancellations
-
Weather-related disruptions
-
Helicopter or flight delays
Meru Himal does not provide insurance unless explicitly stated.
7. Changes to Itinerary

Itineraries may be modified due to weather, road conditions, safety concerns, or administrative orders.

Meru Himal will attempt to provide suitable alternatives where feasible.

No refunds are guaranteed for itinerary changes beyond our control.
8. Cancellation & Refund Policy
Cancellations and refunds are governed by our Cancellation & Refund Policy, including the Helicopter Services Addendum, which forms an integral part of these Terms & Conditions.
9. Helicopter & Aviation Services (Integrated Terms)

Helicopter services are operated by DGCA-approved third-party operators.

Meru Himal does not operate or control aircraft operations.

All helicopter schedules are weather-dependent and subject to safety clearance.

Weight limits, health checks, and operator rules are strictly enforced.
-
Refunds, rescheduling, or cancellations follow the helicopter operator’s policies.
Meru Himal’s liability is limited to facilitation and coordination only.
10. Force Majeure
Meru Himal shall not be liable for delays, cancellations, or service disruptions caused by events beyond reasonable control, including but not limited to:

Natural disasters

Weather conditions
-
Road closures
-
Government or regulatory actions
-
Pandemics or public health emergencies
11. Limitation of Liability

Meru Himal shall not be liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential losses.

Liability, if any, shall not exceed the total amount paid by the traveller for the specific service.

Meru Himal is not responsible for loss of personal belongings, delays, or acts of third parties.
12. Photography & Media
Meru Himal may use photographs or videos taken during tours for promotional purposes unless a traveller explicitly opts out in writing.
13. Behaviour & Code of Conduct
Travellers are expected to:

Respect fellow travellers and staff

Follow local laws and customs
-
Maintain environmental responsibility
Meru Himal reserves the right to remove any traveller from a tour without refund for misconduct or safety violations.
14. Children & Minors

Children must be accompanied by a parent or legal guardian.

Parents/guardians are responsible for the safety and conduct of minors.
15. Data Protection
Personal data is handled in accordance with our Privacy Policy and applicable data protection laws.
16. Governing Law & Jurisdiction
These Terms & Conditions shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of India.
Any disputes shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of courts located in Uttarakhand, India.
17. Acceptance of Terms
By confirming a booking, making payment, or participating in any service provided by Meru Himal, you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and accepted these Terms & Conditions in full.
